I know you know I love the babies but sitting babies are my absolute favorite subjects. Between the age of 6 and 8 months babies are a dream to shoot. They sit in one place and are easily entertained. They are captivated by the reflection of themselves in my lens and even seem to be interested in what I am up to.
If you can do 3 shoots in the first year or so of your child's life, I would recommend newborn (under 2 weeks), 6-8 months (sitting) and 12-15 months (first steps). I know that is quite the commitment so I am in the process of coming up with a baby plan to make it do-able :) Stay tuned - I will post details soon.
